About the Owner

Jill Myers

I grew up in the farm country of rural Iowa, where my family and many friends still live. I went to college at the University of Northern Iowa and earned a bachelors degree in Community Health Education, eventually becoming a self-described “health nut”. I am a vegetarian (which probably has to do with helping to slaughter chickens while growing up), enjoy running (I ran a marathon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society), yoga, weight lifting, hiking, and white water rafting. I round out my activities with some knitting, gardening, and decorating. I am also a philanthropist, continuously giving a percentage of all my income to charitable organizations such as Women for Women International www.womenforwomen.org, Heifer International www.heifer.org, Global Fund for Women www.globalfundforwomen.org, and a variety of local organizations such as the Atlanta Union Mission www.aumcares.org.

While I was in college I met my husband, Dean, and we have been together for over 18 years. We live in our dream home and share it with three dogs and a cat (I'm a huge animal lover).

After college I quickly realized that working for a large company and sitting behind a desk was not going to bring me any happiness. I needed something more personal, physical and tangible. Luckily, I stumbled on to housecleaning and organizing. There is nothing better then walking into a home that needs some attention (and some Clorox, Windex and Murphy's Oil) and leaving it sparkling with cleanliness and care! It is a delight to see my clients' happy faces and receive their notes and calls of appreciation.

One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to know my customers. I have formed close, loving relationships with many clients and my life is greatly improved for it. I have gotten great satisfaction out of watching my clients' children grow up and know that in some small part I have helped enrich their lives because they got to spend more time with their parents. Not many kids value a clean kitchen over fun with family! :) Every home becomes as beloved as my own, so, thanks to my job I feel as though I “have” over 20 homes! In fact, it breaks my heart when clients move to a new home because I miss the old one! Fortunately, I usually move “with” them, if they are staying in the area, so I get a new home to love.

Live Like a Goddess!
